Unforgettable circus event to raise funds for two inspirational charities

Published Tuesday 24 October 2017 in News

SkillForce and The Children’s Trust will be hosting a star-studded circus themed fundraising dinner to support their work enhancing the lives of young people.

Guests will be entertained by a number of international circus acts, all introduced by host David Walliams. The event will also include special performances such as Elaine Paige and Britain’s Got Talent winner, Lance Corporal Richard Jones.

HRH The Duke of Cambridge, Royal Patron of SkillForce, will also be in attendance.

The dinner, on 6 November 2017, marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership between the two charities, enabling children with severe disabilities the opportunity to access The Prince William Award Programme which is delivered by SkillForce.

Ben Slade, CEO of SkillForce, said: “The Prince William Award is an innovative character and resilience programme. It dares children from six-years-old to be their best by empowering them with the skills and habits that will equip them to deal with life’s great opportunities and inevitable challenges.

“The programme has been transformational  in the schools we work in partnership with. The prospect of building on this success to support the inspirational neuro-rehabilitation and education programmes that The Children’s Trust provides is exciting.

Dalton Leong, Chief Executive of The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, said:

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with SkillForce who share our philosophy that confidence in children is the key to reaching their full potential.

“We are very much looking forward to working together, and for children with brain injury and neurodisability to have the opportunity to take part in The Prince William Award.”
