There is a continual challenge for schools, to be able to meet the needs of the students by offering a curriculum that is both broad and balanced, offers variety and opportunity, and yet can be accessed by all.
SkillForce understands that challenge and supplies a curriculum to support a school to develop its ethos, its curriculum aims and the needs of its individual students and groups of students. In many cases this will include guiding young people towards re-engagement with learning, developing inter-personal skills and improved coping strategies, and providing a context in which young people feel secure enough to allow themselves to aspire and progress.
The SkillForce curriculum with its focus on Community, Character and Contribution gives students both the opportunity to be entered for a range of nationally recognised awards and qualifications and for their overall achievements to be recognised and rewarded by the SkillForce certificate and Challenge programme.
In addition we take away the administrative burden supplying all qualifications, teaching materials, moderation and data management.
Our philosophy of 2 instructors in a class room provides opportunity of individual learning but also the resource to manage any difficult or disruptive behaviour.
Our instructors are qualified to teach both in the class room or outdoors many also have other specialist skills in mountain climbing/biking, first aid and many other areas.
We will engage in school life providing support at parents evenings and open days even helping out if we can in out of school clubs.
We want to be part of your team working in partnership to create a positive learning environment for your students.
