These camps are FREE for the children of Service personnel and will be run in July and August 2010. The week is fully catered, with all specialist equipment provided and with return transport from designated garrison locations.

The adventure breaks will take place in various locations across the country, in the heart of some of the most exciting and stunning countryside.

For example, young people from Tidworth, Brize Norton and Taunton areas will have the fantastic opportunity to spend the week at the Ynys Hywel Activity Centre in the South Wales Valleys. And those from Edinburgh and Moray will get the chance to go to the Scottish Highlands.

Planned activities on the Poppy Breaks include gorge walking, surfing, kayaking, a camping expedition and much more besides.

Instruction and mentoring throughout the Poppy Adventure week will be given by mainly ex-Armed Forces personnel, who help to instil a culture of respect and mutual support. Skill Force instructors draw on their expertise, training and experience of working with young people to bring out the best in those taking part.
