Instructor: Chris Peacock

Chris Peacock was in the Royal Air Force for 32 years, then served as a full-time reservist before joining SkillForce as an instructor in January 2016.

Chris’ experience within the senior ranks of the RAF, together with his experience of working with young people as a national trainer for the Swimming Teachers Association and a coach for the Football Association, gave him the perfect blend of skills to become a SkillForce instructor.

He enjoys having the opportunity to be a positive in uence on the lives of young people and to give them the life skills they need alongside what they learn in their more academic studies at school.

“I now feel like I’m part of the education cog that’s helping to develop these kids into better people.

“I went through the same sort of experiences that some of these kids are going through at school and I had a similar experience with my younger son. If he had a SkillForce programme in his school, it would have probably done him the world of good. I just felt that I wanted to go in and influence and try to change some of the kids’ lives.”
