Support Us

No charity can work in isolation to achieve their ambitions

Our ambition is that The Prince William Award will be the leading character and resilience education programme in the country. We can not, however, achieve this alone. Charitable donations and sponsorship are critical to our success.

Your support allows us to deliver transformational opportunities to young people, helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in education, work and life. In doing so, we are able to offer training and transition support to ex-Services personnel, giving those who have served their country an opportunity to serve their community.

Here’s how your donation makes a difference, allowing us to reach more young people than ever before:

£15 could give one young person the chance to complete a nationally accredited award.

£50 could give one person the chance to take part in a community social action project.

£180 will provide a SkillForce instructor for one day to a group of hard to reach young people.

How to get involved

There are many ways that you can get involved and help SkillForce support the lives and life chances of the young people and ex-Service Personnel that we work with.  These include

  • Make a donation
  • Take part in a fundraising activity
  • Become a corporate partner

Please consider supporting our work – enabling us to employ more ex-Services personnel to work with more children and young people, helping them to develop aspirations, self-confidence, resilience and character – skills for life and work.

  • Payroll giving is a convenient and tax-efficient way to make regular donations, if your employer has a scheme.
  • You might also consider remembering SkillForce by donating a legacy gift to us in your will.
  • Donations can also be made via JustGiving on the link below.

Take part in a fundraising activity

Fundraising is a great way to bring people together and benefit a good cause.

Our SkillForce supporters are essential. They have raised thousands of pounds to help our work while taking part in some incredible fundraising activities and challenges. It is thanks to them that we can employ more ex-Services personnel to work with more children and young people, helping them to develop aspirations, self-confidence, resilience and character – skills for life and work.

Many supporters have organised fundraising activities or taken part in sponsored challenges for SkillForce. These range from cake bakes to running marathons and trekking overseas. Funds raised help us to continue our vital work.

Please give us a call if you would like to discuss anything further, we would be happy to help!

Corporate Trusts/Foundations

Where your corporate giving is administered through a charitable trust or foundation, you can be confident that grant monies will be applied to delivery of identified and measurable outcomes.

In addition, there is the opportunity to link your employees and stakeholders to our charitable work – an opportunity that helps to ensure that your support for charitable causes is understood and embedded within your business and a link that is often missed when support is via a trust or foundation.
