Who are we
We are The Prince William Award, delivered by national education charity SkillForce and supported by a family of complementary character and resilience education programmes for children and young people.
We provide children and young people with inspirational complementary role models who will guide them through one of our pioneering character and resilience education programmes. These role models usually have a service background and bring a unique set of skills and experiences for pupils to learn from and be inspired by. Our instructors are our heroes in schools, the USP of our programmes and the driving force behind our mission to inspire a generation of self-believers.
In 2017, our Royal Patron HRH The Duke of Cambridge launched our flagship programme The Prince William Award. This is the only programme of its kind and the only one to bear his name.
The award aims to develop the essential components of ‘good character’, resilience and self-belief in children aged 6 to 14, working in partnership with schools.
